2019 Phoenix, AZ Aerial Wall Murals Show the Increasing Growth of the West Valley

The Phoenix market is once again on the rise in 2019.  Not only have we seen new development in the suburbs of the urban sprawled metropolis, but also significant “infill” within the main urban centers.  The Southeast valley has remained strong year over year with new builds popping up throughout Gilbert, Queen Creek, and San Tan Valley.  However, the West Valley isn’t without mention.  Since the completion of the 303 corridor, we’ve seen a growth in activity among the residential and commercial sectors.  The most notable of which is the 279-acre development in Goodyear, AZ that will house the new Microsoft Tech Center.  According to a recent panel discussion involving leading experts in the industry, investors are poised to see the up and coming job growth in the West Valley, as the area has “positioned itself to be a growing hub – if more commercial real estate space comes online”.  read more

In addition to the Microsoft Tech Center, another developing “jewel” in the West Valley is the much anticipated Desert Diamond West Valley Resort and Casino, in Glendale, AZ.  After opening the temporary casino in 2015, construction crews broke ground on phase 1 of the permanent site in December 2017 (see before/after image above, courtesy of NearMap).  The 75,000 square-foot casino is expected to open at the end of 2019 and includes 5 restaurants, a spa, 2 parking structures, and more.  The next phase in the development will be the construction of the resort, which officials hope to have completed by 2023 in preparation for Super Bowl LVII which will be held, just down the road from the casino, at State Farm Stadium.  The project has created over 1,500 construction jobs and is expected to employ 1,600 people once it is in operation.  The economic impact of this new attraction is bound to be huge for the West Valley.  read more
